Brittany Clifford

Brittany Clifford, Clinical Director (MS, LMFT)

Brittany is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who obtained her Bachelor Psychology and Sociology from University of North Alabama and Master’s of Marriage and family therapy from Drexel University.

She has been providing therapy services for over six years. Being trained in marriage and family therapy provides a systemic view of issues, relating to how family, friends, and community can impact your current mental health. Brittany has experienced working with all ages throughout her time as a therapist. She has learned to utilize an emotion focused, person centered approach. Providing therapy it has become clear that cultural awareness was an important factor in all therapy settings in order to provide the highest level of care. Due to this she takes all cultural aspects (religion, ethnicity, LGBTQ+, ect) into consideration to provide the best care possible to each individual client. 

JaTavia_Bradley

JaTavia Bradley Counselor (MS, ALC under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Slover, LPCS)

JaTavia Bradley is an Associate Licensed Counselor, supervised by Dr. Jennifer Slover,  LPC-S. JaTavia received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University, as well as her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. JaTavia utilizes various therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. JaTavia provides a safe  place to address issues related to depression, anxiety, maladaptive behaviors, adjustment, and trauma. She strives to assist clients and families with navigating towards their therapeutic goal.

JaTavia is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association and Alabama Counseling Association Division for Multicultural Counseling and Development.
Kathy Florence

Kathy Florence (MS, LMFTA)

I received my BS from Troy University and my Masters from Amridge University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I selected to get a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy because I love the dynamics of family development. I possess more than 20 years of experience in the counseling profession as a mental health provider in various diverse settings. In a former position as a Mental Health Therapist, I provided counseling and skill building for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and those with co-occuring substance abuse. use disorders. I also have previous experience with case management and conducting psycho- educational groups. Additional qualifications include implementing crisis interventions and a strong interest in trainings in trauma, bereavement, and EFT.

Sandy Johnson

Sandy Johnson Family / Couples Counselor (LICSW, MAC, FDCS)

Sandy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Master Addictions Counselor with Certification in Family Development. He has more than 30 years of experience in helping others utilize their strengths to overcome barriers and achieve personal goals. His most recent practice has been assisting families and couples facing challenges to recover relationships lost or stolen in addiction, loss, or other traumatic events. He also enjoys making presentations to large and small groups on many topics.

Rhoda Kellum Counselor (MS, ALC)

I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oakwood University in 2016 and my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2018.

I have extensive experience in working with children, adolescents, and their families. I strive to construct a safe environment where my clients are able to express themselves without judgment and learn new skills to better manage presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, ADHD, as well as emotional, and behavioral issues.

I am passionate about empowering children and adolescents to recognize their individual strengths and talents by challenging them and utilizing those strengths to achieve individual goals. I am committed to the child’s personal growth and enhancing overall mental health so that these children grow up to be better and more emotionally equipped adults.

Jason Clark

Jason Clark, Counselor (MS, LICSW)

As a proud graduate of Alabama A&M (AAMU), Jason has dedicated his career to making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health.  With a strong foundation is Social Work, Jason has emerged as a passionate advocate for individuals seeking cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions and the transformative power of motivational interviewing.

Specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy, Jason has honed his skills in helping individuals navigate and overcome various mental health challenges.  Whether addressing anxiety, depression, or other psychological concerns, Jason employs a client-centered approach, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.

In essence, Jason stands as a testament to the transformative potential embedded in the intersection of academic excellence and real-world application.  Through his efforts in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, Jason continues to positively impact the lives of those navigating the complexities of mental health.

Daniel Crawford, Counselor (MS, LPC)

Daniel is a Licensed Profession Counselor who obtained his Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Counseling at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

He has been providing professional counseling services for 15 years and has worked in the mental health field for over 23 years. Daniel has a wide range of therapeutic experiences ranging from being a Teaching Parent at a group home for emotionally disturbed kids, counseling veterans with PTSD, and providing counseling services for a wide range of mental health issues: Depression, addiction, grief, ADHD/OCD, anxiety, ect.

Daniel primarily uses client centered cognitive therapy approach for adults and client centered/play therapy for kids. Daniel is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) specifically for PTSD. Daniel was raised as a “Military Brat” a playful term meaning he had a parent who served in the military. As a child, he lived around the world and is open to different cultures and beliefs.

Cherry

Cherry, Director of Marketing & Communications

Cherry formerly of Scottsboro now resides in Huntsville following her dream of helping individuals get the care and support they need. Cherry enjoys helping people find solutions to life’s challenges. She enjoys church, water skiing, and long walks.

Reyna, Administrative Assistant

Reyna is an administrative assistant at Luminous Counseling, supporting both staff and clients in scheduling, billing, and support. Reyna brings her service experience to help make Luminous a laid back and stress-free environment. She enjoys hiking and exploring the local food scene.

Latasha Stewart

Latasha Stewart, Administrative Assistant

My name is Tasha and I am an Administrative Assistant at Luminous Counseling. I have been in the Mental Health field for 4 years and love everything about it. It fulfills my heart to be a stepping stone in someone else’s healing journey. My children are my inspiration in everything I do. My hobbies include pretty much anything outdoors. I feel very blessed to be apart of this amazing team!

Quintesha Hampton

Quintesha Hampton, Administrative Assistant

Hello, My name is Quintesha. I am an administrative assistant here at Luminous Counseling. I previously worked from home as a licensed health insurance agent. That is what sparked my flame and made me want to get deeper into the health field. I have a passion for helping people and enjoy getting to know those that I meet.
